From 2024-2026, students from the University of Pretoria’s Schools of Arts and the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences will be based at the Kromdraai Impact Hub for the WATERSTORIES community engagement project - a cross- disciplinary research and creative education workshop that actively involves local youth in the investigation of the narratives that shape our ongoing relationship to soil and water.
The project has been developed by Prof. Johan Thom, with inputs from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Basak Senova, the NIROX Foundation and the Unit for Community Engagement at the University of Pretoria.
The WATERSTORIES programme is proudly supported by CALEO Capital, the University of Pretoria and the School of the Arts at the University of Pretoria.
